Pirates of Chemotherapy
Pirates of the Chemotherapy chronicles the struggles and triumphs of six breast cancer support group members, as they cope with their diagnoses, symptoms, and treatments; face death, and embrace life. Schutte’s piece offers hilarious and tragic moments, and has been praised by cancer survivors across the country for being a clear-eyed, honest, and uplifting portrayal of “what it’s like” to be diagnosed with breast cancer.
Performances will be held September 20, 21, and 22, at the DC Arts Center 917 N. 14th Ave. Sturgeon Bay. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:00 pm, and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students, with proceeds donated to a local breast cancer support group.
